Mr. Beetle Feels the Force, a performance about science for Key Stage 2.

Thank you to EPSRC & Reading University who originally funded the project. Thanks also to the 58 schools  & 7,901 children who have hosted the show.

You can still book Mr. Beetle feels the Force! The price is £250-00.

The show  has been developed in collaboration with the Physics Department at the University of Reading and funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

Using the medium of a story about a small beetle who is taken into space as part of an experiment, the show looks at all kinds of forces through a series of simple experiments and demonstrations. It also looks at some other issues including materials & minibeasts. Finally, it explains some of the ways that current scientific research continues to add to our understanding of the world.

The show lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes with a break half way so it fits well into a school morning. For more information or to book the show you can contact me by email or by phone. When you make a booking I will send you out a hard copy letter containing practical information that you need to know.

A first rate show engaging children of all abilities across the keystage. (KS2) A mix of humorous narrative, drama, investigation/ demonstration & multimedia underpinned by real world applications, whilst simultaneously encompassing a number of other science curriculum areas...  Furthermore it provided the Yr6s with a timely interactive revision-  extending their application of learning yet further. Fabulous!
