Watch this space for details of Mr. Beetle Feels the Force! The EPSRC in association with The University of Reading are kindly funding 50 free shows and I'll be taking bookings from September. You thought the watery adventure was wacky? Never mind ponds, now Mr. Beetle is going into orbit! Like the watery adventure, the
show is a lively tale packed with science & fun -
songs, stories & experiments. The main curriculum content of
the show is about forces. (Surprise!) It is aimed at KS2. Read what people said about Mr. Beetles Watery Adventure here. Email: birch@songandstory.co.uk Comments: It was very good for year 6 as a revision activity for SATS. The
presentation of the story & the science worked brilliantly to make
the children feel enthusiastic about science & I am sure that the
experience will stay with them for a long time to come! In my
opinion this was by far the most worthwhile 'roadshow' we have had. The children were
mesmerized, they had so much fun whilst deepening their
scientific understanding. Great explanations,
children’s involvement, very visual… a great show. Excellent Coverage of
a wide variety of of science topics. Very good use of pupil
participation. Well animated
& well resourced… A thought provoking show. Things I particularly
liked about the show are: the breadth of content, floating, sinking,
forces, density, weight, surface tension, breathing, oxygen, CO2,
bubbles,......great stuff. The way you use a narrative to tie it all
together. Lots to take in
& a superb revision resource for our year 6 class. Making Science
fantastic fun with music, drama & highly effective teaching. Very good relationship
with pupils. Great questioning & their attention really kept
well. |
